When I started this journey around 18 years ago, I tried so hard to find positive examples of mixed-orientation relationships. All I wanted was to know that we could make it, that we could come out on the other side okay. I wanted to see others loving each other through it, even if the relationship ended. I wanted to see kindness and empathy. I didn't find a lot of that, and it truly affected me in negative ways. Support groups, with all the benefits they offer, still bring a lot of mixed emotions. It's not uncommon to be surrounded by a lot of people who are struggling with the same things you are. When you are looking for a light in the darkness, some groups can make you feel less alone, but they don’t always make you feel more hopeful.

Our goal has always been to share mixed-orientation stories here. To hold space for shared truths and hard times, but also provide a sense of hope. We’ve seen that telling our story has made a positive impact, and we want people to see that there are so many others out there living it- that they aren't alone- that others are finding their way with love.
So, with all that being said, we're pleased to announce the launch of "MOR Stories," a series of stories, introductions, and insights written by mixed-orientation partners for mixed-orientation partners. Be on the lookout for the first of the series to drop this weekend.

We would love to hear from you, and when you're ready, we would love to share your story as well. To submit your story to MOR Stories, email us at RealMORandmore@gmail.com with the subject line, "MOR Stories."
